Our story

The story behind Travik.

Travik Chemicals was founded in 1974 and has been based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, since 1985. The business began with cleaning products for the rail and hygiene industries, later expanding into automotive, industrial, agricultural and livestock applications.

In November 2010, Travik was acquired by Aquajet Cleaning Equipment Ltd. That connection brings together chemical formulation experience with equipment knowledge and practical experience of using cleaning products.

The people behind the products.

Travik’s work brings together formulation, manufacturing and packaging. Our in-house research and development staff design and test formulations using the laboratory facilities at our Newton Aycliffe site.

Alongside development, our production work includes manufacturing, bottling and packaging cleaning products. Our quality policy sets out our commitment to staff development and the training people need to carry out their work.
